Mindful Movement for Kids was founded in 2022 by Zoe Howse and Rachel Yue as we identified a need in the community to provide children with more tools to support their mental health. We recognise that children naturally have to overcome many challenges as they grow up and while the last few years have been even more challenging through dealing with COVID, the number of children struggling with mental health issues has significantly increased. Therefore in an effort to combat this, we have joined forces to provide programs to help support their needs and allow children to thrive in life!
Zoe is a qualified Yoga, Pilates, Reiki instructor and Personal Trainer, who has been working in the industry for over 10 years. She is passionate about helping others break through negative mindsets and move forward to living a fulfilling life.
Rachel has worked as a Primary teacher for the last 20 years in both a classroom setting and PE role. As a passionate educator she is well aware of the importance for children to learn the curriculum, but firstly children need to learn how to deal with their emotions and how to regulate their emotions to enable them to learn effectively in a school setting.
Our vision is to positively impact the mental health of children and young adults, to teach them tools and strategies from a young age to create balance and resilience through life's challenges.
Our mission is to assist young people to regulate their emotional state with holistic tools, to increase confidence, and to help them in living fruitful lives. This will help them to navigate and deal with life situations that come their way. Building an awareness of emotional intelligence to provide children with the building blocks for a life of abundance.
